This is where I would put historical chapter tags......if I had any! I didn't set up the website until part way through Chapter 7 so once im done with that, the little notes and time stamps in the Writing Updates page will move here and be replaced with a fragment.

Chapter 7

4/29/26: At 2305 words. Finished a make it good pass of scene two. Starting scene 3 today!

5/1/26: Rough draft officially done, reviewing scene 3 and maybe the chapter if I'm feeling it.

5/2/26: 3200 words, oof longest yet, may need to trim eventually

5/4/26: 3147 words. Finished the final stage of Chapter 7 edits, acting it out. Its the step that always gives me confindence in the work. I will share a fragment tomorrow!

Chapter 8

5/6/26 - Power was out half the day, so started old school. Notebook paper and pencil! 349 words

5/7/26 - Transcribed my writing into my google doc, I kinda liked writing physically so did more of that 628 words

5/10/26 - My sister and Mother's day ambushed my weekend so didn't get much done. Kept writing on the notebook paper a bit. 829 words

5/13/26 - Ugh, work was rough last two days, no energy to do much let alone write. Trying to get back to it today, hopefully get past the blinking cursor

5/24/26 - Yeah so that didn't really work out. I tried again today and finally got something new down. 1017 Words

5/25/26 - Promised myself I would finish this chapter, so here's hoping. Update - DRAFT IS FINISHED!! I'm so happy rn. Still need to listen and do acting passes, but so happy I got the whole thing down. 1809 Words

5/26/26 - Working through the audio and acting editing pass today

5/28/26 - Only got through audio, idk this chapter doesnt want to be edited lol. I am gonna do acting today

5/29/26 - Editing is done! So glad I finally finished this chapter. IDK why it was such a hard one. 1880 words

Chapter 9

5/31/26 - Chapter 9 started, scene one complete! Had a hard time figuring out how I wanted the first part to go but we got there. 377 Words

6/6/26 - Got some down which is all that matters. 423 words

6/7/26 - Much more progress today but work has to take priority this week. 737 words

6/14/26 - Scene two done! Scene 3 started, but im tired and my spelling is going crazy lol. 1570 words

6/15/26 - Rought draft done! Writing my first fight scene was a bit tough. Gonna start editing a little. 1904 words

6/16/26 - First round of editing done!

Chapter 10

6/16/26 - The final chapter of act 1 started! 346 words

6/19/26 - Sister came again and derailed the weekend, but seeing the kids was fun. 401 words

6/20/26 - Scene one is done. This will be a short chapter for sure. 558 words

6/22/26 - Scene two in progress, this content was a later addition outside of my outline and I'm really happy I came up with it. Loving how its turning out. 788 words

6/23/26 - Scene 2 finished and scene three started. 893 words

6/24/26 - Scene 3 done! Rough draft of Act 1 is complete! I'm so happy!

6/27/26 - Editing chapter 10 before moving on to Act 1 edits

7/1/26 - Got delayed by work and such, but chapter 10 edits are all set. Finished 2 chapters in about a month. Yay! 1110 words

7/3/26 - Started Act 1 edit, going through and addressing any notes I left along the way

7/13/26 - Act 1 editing is complete for now. I call this the final draft, its not the final final or final final final draft though. On to Act 2! 22,717 words
