I’m Erin Shepherd—the writer behind the pen name McKenzie Grant. McKenzie is actually my middle name and has somehow become my creative alter ego over the years, so it felt fitting to bring her along for this journey.

I’ve loved storytelling for as long as I can remember, and fantasy has always been the genre that felt most like home. I’m drawn to stories with emotional depth, complicated characters, and worlds that feel both magical and real.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading books, running tabletop adventures, working on way too many creative projects, or falling down oddly specific research rabbit holes for my books.
